Coaches

If you are interested in being considered for a position as a head or assistant coach for
WAUKESHA COUNTY YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

We will begin accepting "B and C" head coaching and all assistant coaching for the
10U (Squirt), 12U (PeeWee), and 14U (Bantam) levels and Mite/Mini Mite coaching applications
starting Sunday 7/1/18 thru Friday 7/27/18.

All documents are to be filled out and completed by Friday July 27 at 9:00 pm

Head or Assistant Coach

Any coach wishing to help on the ice in any capacity must have the following mandatory forms (#1-5) completed and on file prior to the season, as well as appropriate level of certification by the December 31st deadline as governed by USA Hockey.

1. USA HOCKEY Registration
(Only current USA Hockey numbers will work, last season numbers will be rejected.)
You must register on their site and email the confirmation sheet to VP on ice . You will receive a refund for the fee from WCYHA.

2. Application link below will open Sunday July 1 2018 for "B" and "C" level Head Coach applicants, anyone interested in being an assistant coach and Mite/Mini Mite level coaches

3. Background checks are required for all new coaches and all coaches every 2 years, individuals are responsible for completing the screening process. WCYHA will notify past coaches when they require a new check.

4. SportTraining Due before entering the locker rooms. Send certificate of completion to:

5. Online Age Specific Modules
You do not need to retake a module if you completed it last year and are coaching the same age level again this year.

6. USA Hockey Coaching Clinic

7. Look up your USA Hockey Certification information.

8. USA Hockey Coaching Requirements .

"A" level head coaches will be selected by the "A" level Head Coach Selection Committee and approved by the board of directors.

The VP On-Ice and the Coaching Committee will nominate all other potential qualified coaching candidates.
After approval by the Board of Directors, all approved coaches will be listed and posted to the website.
